Reception is open Monday to Friday. Our phone lines are open from 8.00 am
Evening and weekend appointments are now available: CLICK HERE for further information.
We offer a range of appointments on the day and up to 2 weeks in advance. There are several alternatives to seeing a GP. The doctors have asked that you give the receptionists some details of your problem. This will help direct you to the correct clinician or service. All of our receptionists are trained in Health Navigation for this purpose.
Some of the alternatives we may offer are:
- An appointment with an Advance Nurse Practitioner, Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse or Health Care assistant.
- A telephone consultation with a GP.
- Advice on where to seek self-help information.
- Self-referral to a more appropriate service, for example: physiotherapy.
If you cannot keep an appointment, please let us know in plenty of time so we can offer it to someone else. We can lose each week through non-attendance.
ONLINE BOOKING: To register for online services please come in to the surgery. Bring TWO forms of identification, or register from home for the NHS App.
If you are already registered with Patient Services please click here to book a blood test appointment.
HOME VISITS: Visits are for those patients who are too ill or disabled to come to the Surgery. They should not be used for convenience or transport reasons. Whenever possible, please phone for a visit before 10.30am. You will be asked for details of the problem and may receive a call back from a GP or our paramedic. Our paramedic makes most of our visits.
CARE HOME VISITING SERVICE: Torbay has one of the highest number of care home beds in England. This patient group often has significant medical needs. So in 2017, the 10 GP practices in Torbay created Torbay Care Home Visiting Service (TCHVS). This is a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting care home patients throughout Torbay. The team is made up of local NHS GPs, nurses, paramedics and pharmacists. They have expertise in Care home medicine. This includes frailty, dementia, medication side effects, advance care planning and palliative care. They look after our patients in care homes alongside our practice staff.
OUT OF HOURS: For information on how to access services outside normal surgery hours please call the surgery on 01803 557458. You will be given the option to be transferred to Practice Plus Group where you will be given advice or directed to the appropriate service.
Please note that all calls to Practice Plus Group are recorded.
In the case of serious emergency, phone 999 for an ambulance. This includes severe chest pain, breathlessness, haemorrhage, collapse or a fall
