Dr Cottrell has been a partner at Corner Place Surgery since 1996. He has special interests in Dermatology and Minor Surgery. Dr Cottrell spent his childhood in Yorkshire and Surrey and trained for medicine at St. Thomas's Hospital, London. He is married with two grown-up children. He has played tennis since a young age and still enjoys regular club tennis.

Dr Richardson is a GP trainer. Originally from Bristol, he is involved in the Local Medical Committee and believes passionately in the NHS. He tries to learn musical instruments of varying kinds, and enjoys classic cars, aircraft and anything involving physics.

Dr Manuela Austin joined us in 1995 as a GP Partner. She is actively involved in our local Commissioning Group and shares the lead GP role for the Brixham & Paignton Locality, helping design services that meet the needs of local people. Dr Austin enjoys running and cycling and is particularly proud of twice completing the half iron man challenge.

Dr Cubitt has a special interest in women's and children's health and dementia. When she's not working Dr Cubitt enjoys country walks, zumba, and studying theology.

Dr Andy Haytread joined Corner Place Surgery in 1996. He has a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and is a member of the Royal College of GPs. He has a special interest in mental health issues and is our lead GP for clinical governance. His hobbies include cycling, playing squash, waterskiing and making furniture. He is married with grown-up children.

Dr Lowri Kew joined Corner Place Surgery in April 2014. She grew up in Brixham and went to Churston Grammar School. Dr Kew's special interests include palliative care and teenage health. She is a GP trainer and appraiser. In her free time she enjoys cooking and relaxing with a good book, as well as walking and cycling.

Dr Nicki Spicer joined Corner Place Surgery from Withycombe Lodge Surgery following the merger in June 2017. She is a GP trainer and teaches at the Peninsula School of Medicine and Dentistry in Plymouth. She plans to support Palestine in setting up its Family Medicine programme. She has 2 grown up boys and enjoys walking, mountain biking and most things outdoors.

Dr Bill Nolan joined Corner Place Surgery following the merger with Withycombe Lodge Surgery in June 2017. Dr Nolan is a GP Trainer and Appraiser. He is married with 4 children and in his spare time he enjoys hillwalking and family time.

Dr Simon Tsang re-joined Corner Place Surgery in October 2016 having previously been at the practice as a GP trainee. His special interests include general medicine, education and training. He is married and enjoys sports, music and exploring the great outdoors.
We have five Practice Nurses who specialise in supporting patients with chronic diseases. This includes asthma, COPD, diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. Patients with these conditions are invited to attend for review at least annually.
Practice nurses also run childhood immunisation, travel, and cervical smear clinics. They assist doctors in minor surgery procedures.
Our Healthcare Assistant carries out healthchecks, blood pressure monitoring and can help with smoking cessation advice. He also does blood tests.
Our Phlebotomist does blood tests and blood pressure monitoring.
